Ep.01 푸른 보라 BLUISH PURPLE
산업혁명 이후 끝을 모르는 개발로 어느 곳에도 없었던 푸른 희망의 유토피아를 만든 우리는 기후변화를 맞이하며 영구동토층 아래로 덮어져 모든 곳으로부터 없어졌던 우-토피아(Ou-topia)를 깨우게 되는데, 이로 오랜 기간 잊고 지낸 고대 바이러스와의 숨은 연결을 발견하게 된다.
Ep.02 붉은 보라 REDDISH PURPLE
언제고 새로운 바이러스가 나타나 팬데믹 단절을 재회할지 모르는 붉은 절망의 디스토피아 속 우리는 과거와는 다른 방식을 통해 삶을 회복하고자 지금 이곳, 디스-토피아(This-topia)에 모여 존재하지 않는 것으로 치부해버렸던 숨은 연결의 관계를 세심하게 감각하고자 한다.
Ep.01 Bluish Purple
After the Industrial Revolution, we who created an unprecedented utopia of blue hope through endless development awaken the u-topia (ou-topia) that had disappeared from everywhere, buried under the permafrost, as we face climate change. Through this, we discover a hidden connection with ancient viruses that we had long forgotten.
Ep.02: Reddish Purple
In the red dystopia of despair, where we never know when a new virus might appear and cause another pandemic disconnection, we gather here in this present this-topia (this-utopia), seeking to recover our lives through different means than before. We aim to carefully sense the hidden relationships of connection that we had dismissed as non-existent.

사운드 아티스트 김대희가 실천하는 소리의 수집과 생성, 연주의 방식은 다양한 위상의 존재들이 종횡으로 연결되어, 상호 공명하게 되는 우연성과 협업에 내재된 유희성 위에서 작동한다. 장기 참여 프로젝트로 선보이는 새 작업 <푸른 보라>는 그간의 작업 철학과 마찬가지로 낯선 주체들이 함께 보이지 않는 그물코를 하나 둘씩 연결해 나가듯 사운드를 생성해 나가는 열린 작업의 구조를 지속, 강화해 나간다. 빛을 구성하는 푸른 빛의 파장은 다시 고음역대의 청각 정보로 치환되며, 관람객들은 가장 인간적인 접촉의 방식을 통해 블루-라이트의 음원들을 소환하고, 쌓아 나가는 인터플레이에 참여하게 된다. 개인의 힘으로는 통제할 수 없는 재난과 위기의 순간들을 경험하면서, 그 회복과 치유 또한 개인과 개인간의 마주침과 공동체의 울림 속에서 가능함을 독자적인 사운드 인터페이스로서 암시한다. The way sound artist Dey Kim practices collecting and generating sounds, as well as his performance methods, operate on the playfulness inherent in the contingency and collaboration where entities of various phases interconnect horizontally and vertically, resonating with each other. His new work <Bluish Purple>, presented as a long-term participatory project, continues and reinforces the open structure of the work, generating sounds as if unfamiliar subjects are connecting the invisible meshes one by one, consistent with his previous working philosophy. The wavelength of blue light that constitutes light is then converted into high-frequency auditory information, and viewers participate in summoning and accumulating the blue-light sound sources through the most human mode of contact, interplaying. Having experienced moments of uncontrollable disasters and crises by individual efforts, it suggests through an independent sound interface that recovery and healing are also possible within the encounters between individuals and the resonance of the community.
