미시적 연결 감각

돌이켜보니 주변 환경과의 숨은 연결을 이야기할 때 쉽게 간과되거나 혹은 상상하지 못하는 것이 우리와 미생물과의 연결이었다. 눈에 보이지는 않지만, 우리의 몸과 삶 깊숙이 관계를 맺고 있는 미생물과의 연결을 감각하는 방법은 없을까? 그 노력을 통해 미시적 관점의 숨은 연결을 조명하여, 모든 것은 다차원으로 연결되어 있음을 강조하고자 한다. 이에 <미시적 연결 감각>에서는 버섯을 반려 생물로 제안하며, 전시작품으로 그와 소통할 수 있는 장치를 제품(Mushroomie)의 형태로 제시한다. 또한 Mushroomie의 도움으로 친구가 된 느타리버섯 플로이(Pleu)가 음악을 하고 싶어 한다는 사실을 알게 되어 무대에 함께 오르게 된다는 이야기의 공연작품을 선보인다.
Looking back, when talking about the hidden connections with the surrounding environment, the connection between humans and microbes was something easily overlooked or even unimaginable. Although invisible to the eye, is there not a way to sense the connection with microbes that are deeply related to our bodies and lives? Through this effort, the aim is to shed light on the hidden connections from a microscopic perspective, emphasizing that everything is interconnected in multiple dimensions. In this work titled <Microscopic Sense of Connection>, mushrooms are proposed as companion organisms, presenting a device (Mushroomie) in product form that allows communication with them as an exhibition piece. Additionally, having learned through Mushroomie that the befriended oyster mushroom Pleu wants to perform music, a performance work is presented where Pleu takes the stage along with the artist.
