그물코 알아채기

현대음악(자유즉흥음악, 사운드스케이프, 전자음악)을 매개로 우리 주변의 숨은 연결을 감각하고 이야기 나눈다. 참여자는 일련의 규칙(프리뮤직 연습법, 그래픽 스코어 등)을 통해 일상의 사물(악기)로 직접 소리를 만들고, 그 소리의 대화를 나누며 이야기(음악)를 만들어, 그 음악을 관객 없는 무대에 올린다. 어떤 의미가 담기지 않은 소리에 스스로를 얹고, 다른 이들과 소통하며 전체의 조화를 느낀다. 또한 주변의 소리풍경과 멀티채널 전자음악으로 만들어진 가상의 소리풍경을 경청하여, 그 안에 여러 진동 간의 관계를 알아채고 그려본다. 이로써 나, 타인, 주변 환경 안의 숨은 연결을 동시에 감각하게 된다. 이러한 비언어적 소통의 경험을 언어로 나눈다. 경험을 나누는 것은 중요하다. 경험 그 자체는 우리 세포 사이사이를 빠져나가기 쉽지만, 감각하고 알아챈 것을 언어로 치환하여 공유함으로써 본인 경험의 본질을 더 깊이 알아나갈 수 있기 때문이다. 그물코 알아채기는 특정 퍼실리테이션 방법을 이용해 직접 몸과 마음을 의식적으로 사용하여 능동적으로 본인을 끌어들이게 도와 참여자가 실행함으로 진행되는 커뮤니티 아트 프로그램이자 그들의 이야기로 완성되는 작품이다.
Noticing Knot is a program that facilitates sensing and discussing the hidden connections around us through the medium of contemporary music (free improvisation, soundscape, electronic music).
Participants create sounds directly using everyday objects (instruments) through a set of rules (free music practice methods, graphic scores, etc.). They then engage in a sonic conversation to create a narrative (music), which is performed on a stage without an audience. Participants place themselves onto sounds devoid of specific meaning, communicate with others, and sense the overall harmony.
Furthermore, they listen attentively to both the ambient soundscape and a virtual soundscape created with multichannel electronic music, aiming to notice and map the relationships between various vibrations within them. Through this, they simultaneously sense the hidden connections within the self, others, and the surrounding environment.
The experience of this non-verbal communication is then shared verbally, as this sharing process is considered important. While the experience itself may easily slip away from our consciousness, translating and sharing what is sensed and noticed into language allows for a deeper understanding of the essence of one’s own experience.
Noticing Knot is a community art program that utilizes specific facilitation methods to help participants actively engage their mind and body, making it a piece of artwork that is completed by the participants’ stories.
